About Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant
A fast-casual takeout Caribbean & Jamaican restaurant, conveniently situated on the corner of Parsons Blvd and Jamaica Avenue in Queens. Known for their family recipes of classic Caribbean food staples, from Jamaican beef patties and coco bread, to jerk chicken, oxtail, and curried goat or chicken. Offerings now include vegetarian and beyond meat alternatives. The bakery boasts numerous enticing options including spice bun, hard dough bread, and carrot cake (among many more delectable items).
I believe this ismy 3rd review in about 2yrs. Then food was horrible today. They are not consistent with their recipes or chef. No matter how many carrots they put in the CowFoot soup it did not soak up all the salt. All you get with the spicy beef patties is the golden crust. They put a teaspoon of spicy beef flavored paste and smear it around. I have read some recent good reviews about this location. I wonder what day of the week or time of day they went. This location is close to the Courts where I work. I guess I'll be getting some needed exercise walking down to the Golden Crust on Supthin and Archer. They have meat between their gold crust patties, their oxtails are consistently tender and succulent. I haven't tried their CowFoot soup on Wednesday's yet,but will very soon. So sick of the inconsistency of this Parsons location. If they use the same Chef, maybe the chef is tried by the time they cook for the Parsons location. Waste of my $21.00 for lunch today. They won't let me post unless I give them 5 stars. Truth 1 star given
