About Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant
A fast-casual takeout or dine-in Caribbean & Jamaican restaurant, conveniently situated on the corner of Granville Payne Ave and Twin Pines Drive in Brooklyn near Shirley Chisholm State Park. Known for their family recipes of classic Caribbean food staples, from Jamaican beef patties and coco bread, to jerk chicken, oxtail, and curried goat or chicken. Offerings now include vegetarian and beyond meat alternatives. The bakery boasts numerous enticing options including spice bun, hard dough bread, and carrot cake (among many more delectable items).
I went to this restaurant located at 1364 Granville Payne Ave in a shopping center in East New York; and was so disappointed and disgusted with the attitude of the darker skinned girl that was serving food today. Which surprisingly is the reason that I went there in the first place (because she was so nice to me the first time that I went there). Today she was very rude and snapped at me about the other fella that had just walked in being there way before me. When I walked in the restaurant I did not get acknowledged by any of the staff, granted they were busy bringing out food for the lunch rush; however, I stood there for a good ten minutes and no greeting or a “I’ll be with you in a few”. I was completely ignored and then when I thought that a guy was skipping ahead of me the dark skin server snapped at me with the most disgusting tone and attitude. And then I paid $42.00 for three chicken patties and one plate of food. I will not be returning to this establishment and will tell all of my colleagues and clients to stay away from this establishment to protect them from this person. Your disgusting and negative energy transfers to the food that you serve. Check your attitude and if you’re not happy with your job then go work somewhere that makes you happy. You’re in the customer service business and must be pleasant and professional.
The food's usually good but not always. This will depend on who's cooking. It's also hit or miss on getting a friendly server so I don't go in as much as I'd like to.
