About Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant

A fast-casual takeout or dine-in Caribbean & Jamaican restaurant, conveniently situated on the corner of Teaneck Road and Bedford Avenue in Teaneck near Argonne Park. Known for their family recipes of classic Caribbean food staples, from Jamaican beef patties and coco bread, to jerk chicken, oxtail, and curried goat or chicken. Offerings now include vegetarian and beyond meat alternatives. The bakery boasts numerous enticing options including spice bun, hard dough bread, and carrot cake (among many more delectable items).

My experience with Golden Krust started off VERY BADLY, and ended up just "OK".... I went to pick up my catering order on Friday, May 8th, at 6:30 pm, and they completely ignored me, and ignored others on the pick-up line, for the first 15 to 20 minutes. Then, when they finally got to me, they had my order COMPLETELY WRONG! I had ordered 2 LARGE trays of Curry Chicken, and they tried to give me 2 SMALL trays of Curry Goat instead. The restaurant worker said that, somehow, she didn't see my correct order in their system. Things got so bad that I had to call EZ Cater's Customer Service Line while I was there in the store, so they could CONFIRM my correct order with the restaurant. The EZCater Rep told me there was NO WAY Golden Krust could have gotten the wrong order because they had to physically CONFIRM the CORRECT order TWICE on their system before agreeing to fulfill the order. The worker then called her store Operations Manager, on the phone, to get "permission" to give me the correct order. Even then, she was only permitted to give me ONE large tray of Curry Chicken, since that's all they had prepared in the kitchen at that time.... After haggling with the restaurant worker, and me being there for OVER AN HOUR AND TWENTY MINUTES, she finally agreed to give me ONE LARGE tray of Curry Chicken PLUS the 2 SMALL trays of Curry Goat, to make up for the 2nd LARGE tray of Curry Chicken.... I appreciated her attempt to make good on the order. That's the ONLY reason why I gave 2 STARS for my overall experience in the end, instead of 1 STAR (or ZERO stars, if I could).... If anyone from Golden Krust reads this review, please take this review very seriously, because while I was there, I also observed OTHER customers (especially those in your PICK-UP line) being COMPLETELY IGNORED, ANGERED, and FRUSTRATED with the SERVICE you guys give. It leads to a BAD REPUTATION for your restaurant, and a LOSS OF CUSTOMERS.

Got chicken soup there only dumplings and one small piece Irish potatoe and a little mashed chicken also my large oxtail no taste oil for gravy
