About Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant
A fast-casual takeout or dine-in Caribbean & Jamaican restaurant, conveniently situated on the corner of John F Kennedy Blvd and Bergen Avenue in Jersey City near Journal Square. Known for their family recipes of classic Caribbean food staples, from Jamaican beef patties and coco bread, to jerk chicken, oxtail, and curried goat or chicken. Offerings now include vegetarian and beyond meat alternatives. The bakery boasts numerous enticing options including spice bun, hard dough bread, and carrot cake (among many more delectable items).
The food at this place is terrible, and the employees are extremely rude and unprofessional. I would not recommend spending your money here. There are much better places to eat.
I usually order from here being that it is the only carribean food place in the area. The food is good for the most part. The service use to be very slow but it has now improved and it's very fast. They have tables inside where you can sit if you want but it's a very small restaurant. The food is hit or miss but today it was a hit. I ordered the curry goat with rice and peas, cabbage and plantain. I usually order the oxtail but you won't go wrong with curry goat which I call the poor man's oxtail.
