About Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant

A fast-casual takeout Caribbean & Jamaican restaurant, conveniently situated on the corner of Main Street and North Day Street in Orange near the Orange train station. Known for their family recipes of classic Caribbean food staples, from Jamaican beef patties and coco bread and coco bread, to jerk chicken, oxtail, and curried goat or chicken. Offerings now include vegetarian and beyond meat alternatives. The bakery boasts numerous enticing options including spice bun, hard dough bread, and carrot cake (among many more delectable items).

Clean enviroment the food is good.

Ordered by phone small curry goat w/ gravy, rice&peas, plantain and cabbage. Price $14.66. Not sure when the price increase took place but I haven't eaten there in a while and never had an issue with Golden Krust's food til today. There was NO curry gravy on my food AT ALL! The rice was over cooked and mushy, goat was dry, instead of fried, sweet plantains, they're were 2 dry boiled plantains with cabbage on my plate. I stood at the counter, picked up my food, asked the server for a bag, she charged me .25 cents and asked if that was ok. I don't have a problem with a price increase but the quality of food is bad and not worth it. I am very disappointed with Golden Krust's food in Orange and will never eat there again.

Purchased a red snapper(stewed) only. The snapper was like rubber hard and dry. It was very salty I guess it was the gravy. You can always add salt if there is not enough but cannot take out if it’s too much. With prices as they are one should expect “quality “
