Hi nicholson, Wow! Your 5-star rating has made our day. Thanks for being a valued customer.

I have been to Golden krust from ever since it came to hyatsville in PG Mall . This where i buy my bun at Easter time o those big bread . This my spot . I've send lots of people thear just for the bun on bread . All these years going to golden krust never any problem with my purchase. Until today. I went there Saturday 28 of March. I baught 2 bun . A big one on a medium. Both of them total was $73 or $72 .don't quit remember because they didn't give a receipt. As soon as I reach home Saturday my daughter cut a slice of the smaller bun she say dad the bun is hard . So I c heck . It was hard . So i cut the other 1 on its the same . I went back there on Sunday it was closed. I went back today Monday 30th. A lady at the counter say she can't take it back . I have to come back yes that older lady terrible customer service. On all I need was on exchange of the buns . After all the years am going there this is the only time I have a problem that need attention on they disappoint me i will never go back there , on I know lots of whom I sent there going to hear about this. Very disappointed.

I’ve been coming to this Caribbean spot for over 10 years, and that alone says a lot. Longevity matters, and this place has earned my continued support. Most of the staff are friendly, welcoming, and they actually remember their long-term customers, myself included which is rare these days. Now, there is an older lady who can be a bit strong and nasty at times. I’m not sure if that’s just a cultural thing, but it’s worth mentioning for transparency. That said, it doesn’t overshadow the overall experience or the food. Let’s talk about what really keeps me coming back: the food is consistently on point. My favorite is the oxtails always tender, rich, and full of gravy flavor. I usually get mine with white rice, sometimes with veggies. The cocoa bread? Always soft, fresh, and hot 🔥. Shoutout to the young female worker and the cool dude who helps cook & prepare the food at times; they’re my go-to every time. Solid energy, great service. Lately, I’ve been ordering the curry goat. I tried it for the first time about two weeks ago and now I’m officially addicted. And if you know, you know. I will always fight for extra potatoes in my curry chicken because I love potatoes 😂. I’ve supported this business for years and will continue to do so. The owner is a stand-up, respectful man who genuinely enjoys happy customers and communicates when he’s available. This is one of the longest-lasting Black Jamaican-owned Caribbean restaurants in the DMV. They survived COVID and much more, and that deserves recognition and support. I now go once a week (used to be 2–3 times weekly), and the consistency is still there. Overall, this review is to say: let’s keep supporting our own with good food. This place has history, heart, and real Caribbean flavor.
