About Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant
A fast-casual takeout or dine-in Caribbean & Jamaican restaurant, conveniently situated on Jonesboro Road in McDonough. Known for their family recipes of classic Caribbean food staples, from Jamaican beef patties and coco bread, to jerk chicken, oxtail, and curried goat or chicken. Offerings now include vegetarian and beyond meat alternatives. The bakery boasts numerous enticing options including spice bun, hard dough bread, and carrot cake (among many more delectable items).
When I first came in I was welcomed but the cashier lady was rude and had an bad attitude! Their patty and coco bread was good. Definitely don’t feel comfortable coming back because of the atmosphere!!!
I had been wanting to try this Golden Krust location for over a month since moving to the area. I was short on time and had a meeting coming up, so I called to place an order. I was told they normally don’t take phone orders, which I understood, but Chris was kind enough to make an exception, and I appreciated that. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill when I arrived. I needed to use the restroom, and an employee who was mopping the floor told me I couldn’t go back because the floor was wet. There wasn’t a wet floor sign out at first, and when one was eventually placed, I asked again if I could use the restroom. His response was still dismissive and unhelpful. I’ve been in plenty of establishments where floors are being cleaned, and typically a wet floor sign is used while customers are still allowed access with caution. The interaction felt unnecessarily rude and lacked basic customer service. As someone who regularly tips and supports businesses, I was disappointed by how I was treated. Chris provided great service over the phone, but my in-person experience left a lot to be desired.(not Chris was rude, some lightskinned dude) Sadly, this was my first visit, and based on this experience, it WILL be my LAST. I hope management takes customer service more seriously because first impressions matter.
Great food
