Known for their family recipes of classic Caribbean food staples, from Jamaican beef patties and coco bread, to jerk chicken, oxtail, and curried goat or chicken. Offerings now include vegetarian and beyond meat alternatives. The bakery boasts numerous enticing options including spice bun, hard dough bread, and carrot cake (among many more delectable items).
I haven’t been to one of these restaurants in years and today i realized why i stopped going. I had a medical procedure at the hospital close by and wanted some oxtails once I got home so I can take my meds and rest. WELL listen I stopped going because meat and seasoning are not supposed to be SWEET AT ALL. People kill the taste when they put sugar in Meats, soups, gravy, vegetables, and anything else that’s NOT supposed to be sweet. Never the less no i did not enjoy the food at all and thanks for the reminder of why i stopped going to these restaurants. Oh and 1 more thing there is a difference between meat being tender and meat being chewy. CHEWY meat is not tender. Bubble gum is chewy!!! Have a nice day!!!!
I think the food is really good, but scary to eat. They have to work on cleanliness. I saw a female employee walk all the way outside the building on her phone with gloves on. Then she touched the door to come back inside and did not change her gloves at all. 🤢 On another occasion, I observed another employee coming from the front to the back to get more food, but she also checked her phone with gloves on, put it back in her back pocket, kept the gloves on, and proceeded to get food. I had to leave on two occasions.
