Summary- Cold food, little to no meat (just 2 peice of breaded bbq skin), and what little meat available was tough (as you will see from my photo). The festival was Cold also, and tough. If you want good food, avoid this place until they genuinely make a change. Full Review- I'm visiting my cousin from up north and the day before we stumbled across a Golden Krust (not this location) and we ended up going in there. I was so impressed, the selections were good, the service AMAZING and my husband told them, this was the best Golden Krust he has ever been to, from Georgia to here. I don't do Golden Krust because they always disappoint, but this one (next to dunkin donuts, close to best buy) is good. Fast forward to today, because I'm not familiar with the place I put Golden Krust in Google maps and this location popped up as 4 minutes away. I assumed it was the one we stumbled upon the previous day until we got here. Boy was I wrong. My husband said, since you're here already just see. Oh my word! BIG MISTAKE!!!! NEVER IN MY LIFE have I been so disappointed. I promise you, I will never make the mistake of stepping foot into this place ever again. I wouldn't even take food from this place for free. I threw the food in their trash bin. I walked out with the food just to find out it was cold. Not even warm, just cold. So I returned to have them microwave the food (in the styrofoam container). Afterwards I decided to eat the food in the restaurant. The food was breaded Barbifry skin with barely any meat. What little meat was there, was tough. I chewed and spit it out, couldn't even go any further. Absolutely HORRIBLE. The plantains were black, COLD and soggy. I threw them away with the rest of the food. I normally read reviews before trying anywhere, but like I said I thought it was the location we stumbled upon the day before (next to a dunkin donuts and a best buy about 3 minutes away). This location makes me NEVER want to go to another Golden Krust, worst food ever. It was so bad that the thought of my money being wasted was over drowned out by the horrible food and the thought of getting as far away from this place as possible. As for the service, Initially the greeting was lacking, but picked up towards the end (which is why I didn't give them a 1) you have to remember people remember how you made them feel, just a simple smile and hello makes a difference. Customer service is important too. Honestly, I've never been this harsh, but I don't think I've had a worst experience.
Every time I come here no is in the front. It takes literally 10 minutes for someone to serve you because they have the music BLASTING and they can’t hear when someone comes in. This happens every time I come here. This place could get robbed and they wouldn’t even know.
4/6/26 @7:10pm Dear Employee Jamelia- for what it worth your attitude and customer service skill is beyond appalling. I do not understand each day you how you continue to work. I came in bought a full Oxtail meal and a beef patty. When I arrived home, to see my order was different from what was placed. To make this short, I went back because I live close by and said because you tried to make a rush ordering for the person in front of me you handle both food incorrectly. She gave someone else my order. She immediately gave an attitude not knowing I was there less than 30 minutes before. She then open the wrong order and dip her fingers into the food eating it for what I don’t know because it was curry chicken clearly she saw it wasnt my oxtail. Anyhow that wasn’t sanitary and quite frankly nasty 🤢 to do that at your job without using a utensil. Just wanted share my frustration because of Jamelia bad attitude isn’t what’s needed in a restaurant. Please learn customer service skills so business can thrive.
