A fast-casual takeout Caribbean & Jamaican restaurant, conveniently situated on East Main Street in Stratford near I-95. Known for their family recipes of classic Caribbean food staples, from Jamaican beef patties and coco bread, to jerk chicken, oxtail, and curried goat or chicken. Offerings now include vegetarian and beyond meat alternatives. The bakery boasts numerous enticing options including spice bun, hard dough bread, and carrot cake (among many more delectable items).

Ordered via a takeout app. Extremely disappointed. Missing an $8 side of white rice…. (Yes $8 for white rice but was feeding someone with IBS so fine.) It looked nothing like the pictured menu item. To where we assumed we got the wrong order. Nope “BBQ” chicken plate that was so dry and shriveled up it was like leather… and that’s hard to do with dark meat. The “sauce” smelled and tasted like ketchup, it was broken and lumpy. The rice was mushy and bland, the steamed veg was also… bland tasted like freezer and sadness. 10/10 do not recommend. Other locations were not like this.

I was so excited when I stumbled upon this restaurant. I have been eating and making jerked pork since I went t Jamaica in 1986. The food set up is like the food court in a mall, I pushed ahead. I got a loaf of hard dough bread (Awesome) and jerked pork. The pork was VERY dry and had no actual flavor, the small container of jerk seasoning/marinade saved the day until it was gone and then I was left with dried up pork. Very disappointing. I don't leave many bad reviews but this is not a Caribbean restaurant to my understanding. I believe that style of food presentation requires a much busier location, like a food court in a mall.
