Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant in Stratford

Good afternoon, I’ve supported this Golden Krust location since it first opened in the Stratford/Milford area. I’ve also owned Airbnb properties near the beach since 2019, so I’ve recommended and supported many local businesses over the years to my renters. During that time, I’ve had many great experiences and have left positive reviews to support the restaurant. There have also been occasions where the bulgur was dry, my curry goat had more bones than meat, or the stew chicken included pieces that weren’t ideal but I continued coming back because I genuinely want to support a Jamaican-owned business. Today, however, I ordered a large stew chicken (about a $20 meal) and received only 4–5 small pieces of chicken. I know what a large portion normally looks like, so I believe this was either a training issue or an honest mistake. With the new staff you’ve brought on (congratulations, by the way), I’d simply ask that everyone is trained to serve portions consistently. I’m not asking for anything extra just the standard portion that has always come with a large order. If the large now comes with 4-5 small pieces of chicken what’s the small come with? 2-3? I truly enjoy supporting your business and hope you’ll continue striving for the consistency that keeps longtime customers coming back. This place is absolutely BOMB! I’ve been here everyday since the ppl put me on 🥹🤌🏾 . Food is 10/10 I decided to circle back on this review 😩 I am (was) a regular here until I was served bland water and a few pieces of chicken in my soup. Lately, the soup just ain't been right & I've been trying to give grace & patience but, enough is enough now! For Golden Krust to be the most expensive (especially for "chicken" soup) I can not afford to keep wasting my money. Soup should be "brothy" & rich full of flavor, not watered down (clear) with jut 2 peices of meat smh.
